Responsibilities:

They are currently looking to employ a Operations Supervisor.
- Plans the activities in the Plant and instructs the Operator Technicians accordingly.
- Provides training guidelines to shift operating teams and reviews their performance. Including the “mentoring” colleagues, as they progress through their various training and development stages
- Updates the operating and safety procedures and contributes to developing the training programs.
- Contributes to the development of budgets and is responsible for their implementation.
- Supervises Operating Technicians on an assigned shift to provide maximum operating efficiency to meet customer demand.
- Implements operating plans to fully utilise the operating capabilities of the plant and maximise revenue.
- Plans and directs daily work activities for the assigned shift. Assists the Operations Manager with planning of overall activities of the plant.
- Co-ordinates shift activities with maintenance teams, whilst maintaining good communications with all plant staff during the respective shift period.
- Keeps the shift team updated on legislation relevant to environment and safety that the shift team can respond appropriately to changes in operating conditions.
- Contributes to maintain good relationships with the surrounding community with the help of the shift team.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Degree in process engineering (or equivalent) and or suitable experience.
Fluent in French and preferably English
Experience:
A minimum of ten (10) years operational experience, which includes:
Power Plant:
A minimum of five (5) years experience of diesel power plant, process plant and or equivalent plant operations, including equipment such as, reciprocating diesel engines, boilers/HRSG’s and other associated equipment. A good understanding of current technology.
