With the growth of the business in specifically in the offshore Wind industry our client who is one of the leading global players in the power generation industry are looking to appoint a Reliability & Availability (RAMS) Engineer.
Description:
Reporting directly to the Head of Design and to the Offshore Platform Leader, your role will be to contribute to the development of a product line aiming at strengthening our position as an important international player in the Offshore Wind Power business. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved in key strategic decisions regarding future technologies (R&D) and to have a considerable impact by influencing the design during the new product development process.
More precisely but not limited to:
Specify criteria as well as key targets in regards to product availability, reliability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) by contributing actively in the work performed by the various engineering teams (Simultaneous Engineering Team, R&D, etc.).
Implement failure mode and effect analysis tools (FMEA) and perform required analysis on critical subsystems.
Implement availability/reliability modeling and monitoring tools and perform adequate analysis in order to contribute to product improvement initiatives
Develop and manage an in-depth knowledge of offshore-related technologies and related systems (knowledge management database, etc) and ensure that newest developments and trends are quickly integrated and shared in development activities.
Manage a network of external engineering companies working on the development of product availability topics as well as with R&D centers & universities to ensure an efficient interface between all parties involved in development work.
Qualifications:
For this role, we are looking for someone with a University Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or any other relevant discipline.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in offshore engineering acquired either in the wind energy sector or the oil & gas industry.
An international exposure combined with some project management experience in a large multicultural environment would be ideal as well as a proven track record to drive through and implement own ideas within a technical environment.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
