GEOLOGICAL SUPERINTENDANT
West Africa
Objective
Ensure maximum return through the optimal exploitation of the known ore bodies as well as discovery of additional Resources.
Responsibilities
The incumbent would be responsible for the following:
· Managing the geology department which consists of brownfields exploration, production geology and resource evaluation sections.
· Compiling business plans, managing drilling contractors, managing costs
· The implementation and monitoring of training programmes for the personnel in each of these sections will form an important component of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· BSc (Hons) Geology.
· Additional postgraduate qualifications would be an advantage.
· At least 8 years relevant experience
· Iron Ore experience essential
· Proficiency in operating mining software would be advantageous.
· Good English communication skills.
