MINING ENGINEER (OPEN PIT / COAL/ CENTRAL ASIA-ASIA)

Our client, is looking for Mining Engineer for their operations in Central Asia and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review and endorse relevant schedules

· Assist in ensuring project budgets are closely managed, monitored and accurately reported

· Assist in formulation and management of project execution strategies

· Take initiative with corrective or contingency actions to deal with threats to progress and outcome

· Coordinate engineering project activities

· Ensuring compliance with the company policies and procedures

· Ensuring that all employees performance management objectives and key result areas are been managed

· Undertake investigations into alternative mining methods and systems

· Creating and implementing medium to long term mine plan and designs that provide a safe working environment and effective and efficient waste movement

· Communicating concerns and improvements initiatives to supervisors and management

· Formulate and track short term plans ensuring that key objectives are met to achieve medium to long term plans

· Participate in the training, mentoring and development of employees

· Building and maintaining good working relationships with the alternative departments

· Able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders within the company

Ideal Candidate:

· Tertiary Degree is essential (Mining, Geology or Engineering)

· Postgraduate degree is advantageous

· Must have a minimum of 3 years industry related experience

· Open pit mining exposure is a must as well as experience in coal mining

· Proficient in mining computer software related to open pit mining

· Technically competent in coal methodology and processes

· Sound understanding of the mining industry

· Good time management, planning and cost management skills

· Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal

· You will have excellent communications skills and be highly motivated and enthusiastic

· Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

· Must be willing to travel

· Fluent in English
