MANAGER: PROCUREMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN – MINING - WEST AFRICA

OBJECTIVE:
To ensure availability of materials, equipment and services for the various activities of the company, in compliance with quality and safety standards and within timeframe and cost limitations, mapping out suppliers and analyzing most suitable logistics.
In conjunction with the port, rail and mine management teams ensure an effective supply chain in line with contractual requirements.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
· The development, implementation and management of procurement and supply chain strategies and governance systems for our client in line with group procurement policies and activities
· Oversee all aspects of the supply chain including forecasting, materials planning, procurement of inventory, warehousing and related logistics
· Implement and monitor KPI’s to ensure to prevent/reduce out of stock situations and effectively monitor the iron ore supply chain
· Effective management of vendors including service level requirements
· Coordination and management of all purchasing contracts for ArcelorMittal Liberia
· Ensure the company's acquisitions are properly conducted.
· Ensure new supply alternatives through supply market development programs.
· Ensure proper handling, classification and codification of materials; ensure proper inventory control measures are in place.
· Meet technical, legal and the company's standards related to procurement activities by monitoring the activities.
· Ensure environmental norms and procedures are complied with, caring for the environment in all activities.
· Make sure the team is continuously encouraged by an invigorating workplace climate, thereby optimizing its performance, monitoring the development of activities, providing for adequate training and encouraging the fulfillment of goals.
· The health and safety of in-house and outsourced teams shall be secured through effective preventive and corrective actions.
· Communication, ability to lead across cultures, process control, focus on results, leadership, negotiation, strategic orientation and decision making.
