CA Global: Power and Energy (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Technical Advisor and Training Officer (Renewable Energy / Solar Power / Water heating). The position will be based in Southern Africa.
Overview:
The Technical Advisor and Training Officer is responsible for providing technical support and training for the domestic market, which involves working closely with installation teams, as well as managing the warehouse
Job Requirements
- Experience in the installation of Solar Water heaters Highly Advantageous
· Plumbing or Engineering Qualification
· Must have previous plumbing experience
- Technically minded
- Customer orientated
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good communication skills in English & Afrikaans
- Must be able to use own initiative
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license essential
- Must be prepared to travel
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Manage installations, including planning and overseeing installations, commissioning, quality assurance and maintenance
Attend to customer complaints and warranty claims and coordinate repairs where necessary
Provide technical support internally and externally
Implement a development program to maintain high quality and efficient installations.
Assist in the ad hoc running of the business as may be required outside this job description from time to time – including trade shows, emergencies and other eventualities.
