Our client is currently seeking the services of an experienced Metallurgy Manager – Capital Projects. To succeed in this role you will need to have an international track record in developing and leading Metallurgical teams undertaking bankable feasibility studies and if required managing mineral processing projects through construction into production
Responsibilities:
• Ensure all aspects of the Project is managed to best practice OHS&E standards and statutory requirements.
• Conduct/participate in scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies or detailed engineering as required.
• Recruit and manage the process plant project team capable of delivering the study/project to the required schedules.
• Duties could include preparation of process design criteria, generation of material and energy balances, equipment sizing, flowsheet preparation, piping and instrument diagram (P&ID) development, preparation of plant layouts, capital costs and operating cost estimates.
• You also may be required to assist in process development testwork and preparation of operating manuals for the designed facilities
Requirements:
• Tertiary qualified in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in managing the development of projects.
• Eight years or more relevant senior technical experience in a continuous minerals process operation.
• Be an innovative thinker, driven by results-achievement
• Be resilient and resourceful and have a high level of integrity
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
