CA Global: Power and Energy (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of Commissioning Engineers (Transmission / Substation). The positions will be based in the U.A.E.
Requirements
- Fire Protection System (FPS) Commissioning Manager
- Master / Bachelor Degree Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 12 - 15 years experience in managing a section responsible for planning and executing commissioning works of Fire Protection system and associated equipments in 400 / 132kV transmission substations in an electrical utility.
- Switchgear Commissioning Senior Engineer
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power)
- Minimum 10 years experiences in the relevant field.
- Must have experience in testing and commissioning of EHV Gas Insulated Switchgears. Ability to scrutinize manufacturer’s drawings, factory test procedures and factory test reports related to EHV GIS.
- Well conversant with International standards.
- Must be fluent in English
- Skills in technical report writing, Snag list preparation etc.
- Computer literate
- Familiar with safety practices.
- Manufacturing facilities experience is preferred.
- Transformer Commissioning Senior Engineer
- Master / Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power)
- Minimum 10 years experiences in the relevant field.
- Experience in Engineering, Erection and Testing & commissioning of large capacity power transformers & reactors
- Ability to scrutinize manufacturer’s drawings, factory test procedures and factory test reports related to Power Transformers & Shunt Reactors.
- Knowledge of routine and break down maintenance of power transformers and reactors
- Conversant with International standards & its applications
- Fluent in English
- Skills in technical report writing, Snag list preparation etc.
- Computer literate
- Familiar with safety practices.
- Manufacturing facilities experience is preferred.
- Transmission Cable Commissioning Senior Engineer
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power)
- Minimum 10 years experience in relevant field.
- Experience in Engineering, laying, testing & commissioning of EHV XLEP Cables Ability to scrutinize manufacturer’s drawings, factory test procedures and factory test reports related to Power Transmission cables.
- Familiar with relevant to Routine, Type Tests for Cables and their accessories
- Familiar with Joints and Termination installations and testing
- Familiar with all the site tests and routine check-up of EHV Cables and their accessories Ability to Supervise snag rectification and emergency works related to EHV transmission cables.
- Capable of reading /checking electrical drawings related to Transmission EHV cables. Computer literate
- Familiar with safety practices.
- Manufacturing facilities experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in English (spoken & written)
- Transmission Protection Commissioning Senior Engineer
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 8 -10 years experience in Protection field.
- Experience in supervision of all works related to Site testing and commissioning of CTs, VTs, and Various types of Protection relays and Tele-protection equipment in 400/132/11/kV substation.
- Supervision of emergency works related to above equipment in live substations.
- Conversant with different Protection schemes used in 400/132/11/kV systems
- Able to test different types of relays inclusive of Numerical relays used for differential protections
- Capable of reading electrical drawings and trouble shooting in control & protection circuits
- Conversant with project management
- Have adequate knowledge on Fault Monitoring System and Substation Control System.
