Responsibilities
- Manage this business unit, prepare budgets, establish staff manage all labour issues, operational management, develop KPI's, develop operating practises to best practise as jointly agreed, deliver profits and operational outcomes.
- Operate with equal consideration for profit, staff, environment, health and safety and community as befits conformance with sustainable development under the Equator Principles.
- Manage the Joint venture relationship with due consideration of the commitments and obligations with in the agreements. Facilitate the meeting schedule flow of information both formally and informally.
- Oversight the marketing and sales arrangements to ensure commercial currency and timely market sales of product as a direct General Manager's office function
- Liaison with local Government Departments and Ministries and local authorities to obtain approvals for development projects and in relation to compliance matters, including Mining Licence (PE) reporting and renewals;
- recruit operating staff, co-ordinating operating staff;
- Preparation and regulate budgets, report performance against budgets;
- Presenting regular timely updates to the Board of the JV
- Community relations and environmental compliance;
- Involvement in feasibility work as requested
· Man management
- Supervision of the Production staff and Mining staff to deliver the mining products and concentrates for sale
- Supervision of Lubumbashi based Administration Staff under the Administration Manager
- Work with the Management to implement administration, environmental, H&S and accounting procedures and systems
- Effective communication with the workforce.
· Cost Control
- Setting and achieving cost budgets.
· Environmental
- Employ sound, practical work practices which will support the Company's environmental and community policies.
· Administration
- Administer the company's assets to good industry standards.
- Provide reports as required by the Managing Director.
- Support broader company objectives and project development or enhancements.
- In conjunction with management, maintain insurance as appropriate for the organisation

- At all times while working conduct yourself in a responsible and mentoring manner, setting an example for your subordinates.
- As a senior member of Staff located within DRC you will be called on to represent the company with government authorities, stakeholders and community leaders.
- Maintaining the social and community commitment on mineral concessions is essential and is the responsibility of all employees.
