Senior Mine Geologist
West Africa
Our client is currently seeking a senior geologist to join the Technical Services team and be responsible for Geological reserve modelling, estimation, reporting and management.
Responsibilities:
· Co-ordination and management of mine grade control and reconciliation functions
· Ensuring the optimal utilisation of the ore deposit by the production units through the
provision of the appropriate geological information
· Interpretation and modelling of all geological data
· Liason with production teams and laboratory personnel
· Quality control and assurance of all geological analyses / data
· Geological database management
· Geological modelling, reserve / resource estimation, validation and reporting
· Adhoc Geological research projects
Requirements:
· A post graduate qualification in Geology
· Previous experience in mineral sands
· Professional registration with an internationally recognised professional body
· Advanced knowledge of reserve and resource reporting
· Expertise in geological database management and geological modelling
· Highly proficient in MS Office and geological modelling software
· Capable of formulating and managing geology exploration programmes
· Mine Grade control and reconciliation expertise
· Above average verbal and written communication skills
