Mining Giant with operations in West Africa is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team!
Main functions:
Manager and coordinate the engineering functions for the project.
Ensure that the company’s engineering policies and practices are implemented and adhered to.
Ensure appropriate engineering designs and strategies are implemented.
Ensure budgets and deadlines are adhered to.
Ensure that engineering quality and safety standards are met.
Ensure that vendor and contractor bids are technically evaluated.
Oversee the engineering design and specification for the process plant and associated infrastructure.
Manage relevant subordinates and consultants.
Ensure the necessary engineering resources are secured.
Participate in the selection of vendors and contractors.
Review vendor information and advise on commissioning and strategic spares holdings.
Provide technical input and problem solving during construction and commissioning.
Requirements:
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree.
Previous experience as the Engineering Manager for the construction and commissioning of a gold project.
Assertive, goal-oriented self-starter with good interpersonal and organizational skills that pays attention to detail.
Excellent computer literacy in relevant technical software.
Hands on experience operating a web-based filing system.
Able to manage multi-disciplinary engineering design team.
Previous experience managing a multi-cultural team in Africa.
