Project Manager – Mining Infrastructure

West Africa

Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager (Mining Infrastructure) for their project in West Africa.

Responsibilities:

· Delivery of mining infrastructure capital works

· End-to-end project management in a technical process design and engineering capacity

· Project Engineering during the pre-feasibility stage and managing project prior to the construction stage

· Negotiation and influencing skills and holding diverse stakeholder relationships

· Facilitate projects within cross-cultural work environments

· Delivery of project within the required safety, quality, schedule and cost constraints

· Develop contracting strategies and to supervise domestic & international consulting, engineering management and construction contracts

· Manage accelerated design & construction project methodologies

· Develop and deploy project management systems and define contract processes

Requirements:

· Relevant qualification and expert knowledge

· 10-15 years of experience in end-to-end project management, ideally in a technical process design and engineering capacity with a broad range of electrical, mechanical and civil engineering

· Ability to commence as a Project Engineer initially during the pre-feasibility stage, and then to transition into the Project Manager role prior to the construction stage

· Extensive expatriate field experience, and ideally experience in Africa

· Outstanding communication, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, and can foster diverse stakeholder relationships

· Experience in facilitating projects within cross-cultural work environments

· Extensive experience on major capital intensive greenfield mining projects
