CA Global: Oil and Gas (Africa / International Positions) has a client that is in need of a Technical Trainer: Process (Engineer Training / Process Engineer/ Control Operators). The position will be based in UAE
(1) Position available for the advert post. Skilled candidate is responsible for the development and implementation of training systems to support the organization’s competence development programme for Process/Operation Engineers.
Duties:
- Coach the trainees (Process/Operation Engineers, operation Controllers and Operators) in both theoretical and practical activities as defined within the organizations competency frame work
- Plan and follow-up the work based activities appropriate to the development of their skills and knowledge
- Report to CTTL on the progress, attendance and achievement of persons under training
- In collaboration with other L&D staff; design, produce and deliver disciplined-related short courses
- Support the Training Centre team in their delivery and assessment of the practical competence of the workforce
- Deliver practical courses as required, to enhance practical skills and build upon theory
- Conduct GAP analysis exercises and liaise with Training Centre Team to produce action plans
- Observe and monitor line competence checks of individual Trainees
- Track the progress of Trainees and produce reports as required
- Monitor performance of Trainees against plans and take action to remedy problems in an effective and timely manner
- Produce reports and deliver presentations as requested by Management
- In close cooperation with the Trainees, Line Supervisors and other appropriate staff. Develop and produce Personal Development Plans AND Personal Development Records for Trainees
- Maintain good working relationship with other organization’s staff
- In consultation with Line Supervisors, monitor the rotation/attendance of Trainees
Requirements:
- B Sc. Or equivalent
- 5 years of applied experience in Oil and Gas industry, with a further 6 years related industrial experience
- Completion of approved programme of practical training, apprenticeship or professional instititition/ Engineering Training Body/ Armed Services/ Accredited Training Programme and or SVQ/NVQ Accreditations
Skills aptitude:
- Excellent standard of written and speaking of the English language
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer literate
