CA Global: Oil and Gas (Africa / International Positions) has a client that is in need of a Technical Trainer: Instrument (Engineer Training / Engineer/ Technician). The position will be based in UAE
(1) Position available for the advert post. Skilled candidate is responsible for the development and implementation of training systems to support the organization’s competence development programme for Engineers and Technicians.
Duties:
- Report to TTTL on the progress, attendance and achievement of persons under training
- Collaborating with L&D staff; design, produce and deliver discipline-related training modules consisting of unit plans, assessment plans, training materials and other associated documentation
- Support the Competence Team in their delivery and assessment of political competence of the workforce
- Deliver practical courses as required, to enhance practical skills and build upon theory
- Observe and monitor line competence checks of individual developments where required
- Track the progress of the developees and produce reports as required
- Monitor performance of the developees/trainees against plans and take action to remedy problems in an effective and timely manner
- Coach the Trainees (Engineers and Technicians) in both theoretical and practical activities as defined in the organizations competency frame work. Plan and follow-up the work based activities appropriate to the development of their skills and knowledge
- Produce reports and deliver presentations as requested by management
- In close cooperation with the trainees and other Training Centre staff, develop and produce Personal Development Plans and Personal Development records for the Trainees
- Maintain good working relationship with other organizations staff
- In consultation with line, monitor the rotation/attendance of Trainees
Requirements:
- B Sc. Or equivalent
- 5 years of applied experience in Oil and Gas industry, with a further 6 years related industrial experience
- Completion of approved programme of practical training, apprenticeship or professional instititition/ Engineering Training Body/ Armed Services/ Accredited Training Programme and or SVQ/NVQ Accreditations
Skills aptitude:
- Excellent standard of written and speaking of the English language
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer literate
