Exploration Manager
Southern and West Africa
Our client is currently seeking an Exploration Manager to manage their copper/gold project in Southern and West Africa.
Responsibilities:
· Providing leadership in maintaining a safe and harmonious work environment for employees and contractors, and a zero tolerance for impacts on local communities.
· Managing all aspects of identifying mineral targets/business opportunities and follow-up exploration programmes, with a focus on copper and gold.
· Mentoring and training personnel in all aspects of exploration, and recognising/supporting their development in areas that they excel.
· Interaction with all stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Geology)
- 10-15 years relevant experience
- Previous exploration experience
- Previous experience with copper/gold projects
- Good communication and administration skills.
- Self-motivation, leadership and management skills.
- Proven competence in managing a variety of different types of exploration programmes.
- Some experience in prospect/project evaluation and development.
