Project manager - Exploration

Southern Africa

Responsibilities:

· To assist the Operations Manager in all aspects of exploration in the companies Tenements.

· Design and oversee exploration programs, preparing plans for efficient work execution and to address HSE&C and compliance requirements.

· Utilise geophysical data sets, geological mapping, drilling data and your geological skills to develop exploration targets.

· Coordination and implementation of field exploration activities including methodical Geochem (Soil sampling)programs and the accurate collection of samples, arranging and overseeing any airborne geophysical surveys, liaising with laboratories, arranging drilling programs and the accurate collection of samples derived from such drilling

· Ensure appropriate quality control procedures are in place.

· Complete geological interpretations for resource modelling purposes.

· Assist in generating budgets. Monitor expenditure and provide an analysis of expenditure variances.

· Compile quarterly reports in conjunction with the Operations Manager to enable timely reporting of all field and exploration activities.

· Assist with photographic and other requirements necessary for all half yearly and annual reports of the company.

· Remain abreast of internal and external research and technology developments and make recommendations for applying the research in the exploration.

· Actively promote sound HSE practises through visible leadership, participation in safety meetings and inductions.

· Sign off on all Reports to JORC Compliance

Requirements:

· Relevant Qualification

· Minimum experience of 10-15 years

· Previous experience in Africa

· Excellent communication skills

· JORC Compliance
