Our Client is seeking an experience Head of Department for Workshops to join their team in New Caledonia!
Your main function will be to manage the maintenance workshops for fixed plant, as well as supporting other areas (plant, utilites and power plant) for repairs and rebuilds of equipment.
Duties include but not limited to:
Recruitment and training of staff.
Implement and supervise general workshops and equipment.
Implement constant support service.
Follow up on commissioning of equipment.
Implement rebuild procedures.
Follow up on quality of repairs of fixed equipment.
HSE procedures.
Selection of subcontractors.
Requirements:
FRENCH COMMUNICATION SKILLS HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS.
Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other relevant Engineering.
12 years experience in a similar environment, of which at least 6 must be at management level.
Previous workshop management experience.
Good computerized maintenance experience.
Good English communication skills essential.
Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment essential.
Previous experience in remote locations essential.
