Directional Driller - Angola

CA OIL & GAS is in searching for Directional Driller the position will be base in Angola

Job Responsibilities

· In conjunction with the onshore engineering support team and client drilling department plan directional drilling campaigns

· Take responsibility for all aspects of well site directional drilling operations including

· Equipment inspection and validation

· Application of appropriate directional drilling techniques

· Ensure correct well bore position-survey methods employed

· Supervising drilling parameters used by rig contractor to ensure optimal performance of equipment and well bore placement

· Regular updates to well plan and trajectory

· Review engineering plans - torque, drag, hydraulics etc

· Manage rig site inventory and spare parts

· Daily, monthly and post well reporting

· Financial reporting and documentation

· Take a lead role offshore in promoting safe working practices and ensuring all members of the Company team comply with local HSE rig site procedures

· Attend pre and post job briefing sessions

· Assist in preparing tools for offshore use as required

· Assist with audit and supervision of third party vendors

· Mentor and train junior members of staff

Qualifications

· Minimum 3- 5 years experience as directional driller

· Ability to communicate effectively with clients, managers, colleagues and third parties

· Documented experience and knowledge of state-of-the art drilling and surveying techniques

· Self motivated with excellent organizational skills

· Ability to handle high workloads

· Computer and numerically literate

· Posses all relevant health and offshore survival certificates

· Current drivers license

· Good English language skills

· Numerical literacy

· Demonstrate competency with MicroSoft Office products

· University degree in geology or engineering

· Angolan National have the first option for this position.
