Project Development Manager
West Africa
Our client is currently seeking a Mine Technical ServicesProject DevelopmentManager for their operations in West Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, oversees and manages all mine project engineering requirements of the
company including project schedules and submissions for Strategic Business
Planning Process
- Manages Mine Project Engineering including conceptualise mine design from project
start and for long term planning / Design and optimisation of surface pits /
Geotechnical assessment and monitoring
- Assists in construction of mine site facilities, process plant, power plant and
structures
- Management of staff within the Mine Project Engineering group
- Development and implementation of engineering policies and procedures
- Ensuring all mine project engineering activities employ rigorous safety discipline
- Managing principal areas of risk surrounding processing and engineering
- Coordinating engineering project activities with any sub-contract mine operators
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years in the Engineering field
- Knowledge of mine site design & modeling, financial modeling, budgets and cost
control
- A detailed understanding of mine site engineering and project management
- Experience with multiple resources
- Experience with Gold/Mining
- Well-developed written and oral skills in French and English
- Degree or related qualifications in Mining / Project Engineering
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications
- Well-developed computer skills and prior experience with Microsoft office – Word –
Excel- Power point.
