Our client has developed a Billing Solution that enables companies and institutions present bills to their customers in simplified and transparent manner. The solution allows customers to make payments on the presented bills in a manner that assures that payment is validated and the company and/or institution receives its funds.
JOB OBJECTIVE
The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the performance of the Company’s business as dictated by the overall strategy agreed by the board of directors and /or by maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the MD.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) reports to the MD and is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations with direct line authority and responsibility for all Managers, revenue and census growth; expense, cost and margin control; and ongoing financial goal management.
S/He will be expected to confidently provide leadership, earn credibility and provide hands-on expertise across a broad spectrum of the business to assist the company in achieving its corporate goals. S/He will be the primary liaison with the company’s legal counsel, auditors, bankers, investors and work with the Board of Directors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
o Provide day-to-day leadership to managers for the efficient operation of the company.
o Manage long and short term strategic planning for all business operations
o To give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization’s philosophy, mission, strategy and its annual goals and objectives
o Ensure the achievement of forecasted financial goals.
o Developing, designing and improving internal systems that create and deliver world-class products
o Develop team members and hold them accountable for exceptional performance and financial outcomes.
o Ensure company-wide implementation of organization vision at all levels of operation.
o Assist the MD in achieving financial and operating results at all levels of operation.
o Work with the Board to fulfil the company’s governance function
o Review, develop and assist in the implementation of consistent company-wide, facility-based policies and procedures, which will exceed all state and regulatory minimum requirements.
o Develop (or recommend for approval) and implement a yearly business plan and budget for the company consistent with the corporation-wide business plan and budget.
o Assist in developing existing and new businesses
o Set operational and or performance goals for each team, which are achievable and tied to long-term goals.
o Establish and monitor performance-reporting systems.
o Perform other related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
o An MBA required as minimum
o Prior experience in the Banking sector or other financial organization would be an added advantage
o Proven track record in similar role within related industries.
o Prefer 7-10+ years experience in a Senior Management role
o Proactive, self starter; ability to take initiative, be resourceful and be productive within tight deadlines
o Strong presentation / reporting skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management in all parts of the Firm globally
o Persuasive and influential communicator
o Exceptional interpersonal skills
o Proven ability in effectively and diligently executing stated objectives in a timely manner
o Demonstrated strategic leadership experience with a successful career progression through the operating ranks is required.
o Strong operational, metrics driven Business Management skills are required.
o Experience in a Business-to-Consumer, Internet based, product or service company is required.
o New revenue idea generation, planning and execution experience is required.
o Outstanding presentation and analysis skills are required
