Our client is currently seeking a Senior Geologist for their operations in Africa
Responsibilities:
- Actively promote sound HSE practises through visible leadership, participation in safety meetings and inductions;
- Utilise geophysical data sets, geological mapping, drilling data and your geological skills to develop exploration targets.
- Design exploration programs, preparing plans for efficient work execution and to address HSE&C and compliance requirements.
- Coordination and implementation of field exploration activities including mapping, sampling and drill logging;
- Ensure appropriate quality control procedures are in place.
- Complete geological interpretations for resource modelling purposes.
- Assist in generating budgets. Monitor expenditure and provide an analysis of expenditure variances.
- Remain abreast of internal and external research and technology developments and make recommendations for applying the research in the exploration.
Requirements:
- Relevant Qualification
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience
- Previous experience in Africa
- Excellent communication skills
