CA Global: Transport and IT (Africa / International Positions) has a client that is in need of an ICT Manager (IT Services / ICT / ICT Management / IP Networks). The position will be based in Ethiopia.
(1) Position available for the advert post. Lead the management and implementation of ICT infrastructure and projects as directed by the Project Manager and the TRL Regional IT Manager. Support, train and mentor local ICT Officers, ICT Assistants and Radio Operators
Duties:
- Report to: The Commercial and Finance Manager
- Subordinates that report to you: ICT Support, radio Operators
- Ensure ICT projects meet appropriate standards. Supervision of all work conducted by ICT support staff, subcontractors and attendance at toolbox meetings.
- Evaluate and report on any ICT issue raised by the Project Manager and the TRL Regional IT Manager.
- Provide direct assistance with the implementation and maintenance of all project ICT infrastructures.
- Lead the management and implementation of ICT projects as directed by the Project Manager and the TRL Regional IT Manager.
- Lead the ICT support in the absence of in country ICT Officers/Assistants.
- Provide direct support, training and mentoring to local staff with informal training and guidance on advanced ICT tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with all project and contract obligations, including project plans and reporting obligations.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in managing & implementing VSAT solutions
- Practical experience installing & maintaining 2-way VHF systems
- Knowledge TCP/UDP/IP networking
Skills aptitude:
- Experience in being stationed on remote camp locations providing ICT services.
