CA Global: Power and Energy (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Country Manager (Transmission and Distribution). The Position is based in South Africa.
Overview
Our client an international leader in Power Engineering is currently recruiting a Country Manager who will handle their transmission and Distribution projects throughout the African Continent.
Requirements
- Relevant Engineering Degree is essential
- MBA / PGDM - essential
- 8 to 13 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution Industry with at least 3 years in similar role.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent people and negotiation skills
- Ability to work across a broad cultural spectrum
- International experience is an advantage
- Africa experience is preferred
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Marketing & Business Development
- Introduce company in African Market to various agencies operating in Transmission & Distribution.
- Develop strong network and arrange for strategic tie-up/alliances to give competitive edge, create partnerships with agencies/suppliers having complementary strengths, and convert these efforts into commercial opportunities.
- Responsible for preparing market entry strategy.
- Researching potential customers for the business and developing plan for achieving business targets for new business.
- Tender identifications Information collection.
- Pre tender site survey & Site visits.
- Tender preparation, project estimation & costing in coordination with Head Office.
- Maintaining and developing customer relationships
- Travelling to customers to give informative presentations on company
- Clarification of queries and other relevant information desired
- Closely monitoring the progress of the marketing campaign with the customer.
- Final Negotiations and closing the order.
- Event Management
- Organizing participation in International exhibition.
- Act as a single point of contact between Event Organizers, Display advertisements, Consultants/ Promoters while organizing marketing events. Liaising with advertising and design agencies
