Senior Mining Engineer (Gold) – North West
A leading mining consulting company seeks a Senior Mining Engineer to join their operations in North West
Responsibilities:
· Investigations or feasibility studies to support Mining strategies and the supply of business information to the manager Mining
· The standards used by Mining Operations for their budgeting and business planning processes
· Adherence to all safety and health standards and promote good housekeeping on an on-going basis
· Leading and organising technical teams in carrying out these studies and on the company’s projects
· Tactical management of the mining engineering function
· Compiling proposals and technical reports
· Implement approved operation/ functional strategies
· Controlling project performance through budgeting, invoicing and monthly project status reports
· Render an advisory service to management regarding integration of multi-disciplinary inputs
· Introduce new methods and procedures which will optimize productivity
· The strategy of primary and secondary equipment needed to execute Life of Mine Plan
Requirements:
• On mine experience to at least middle management level
• Participation in Life of Mine Planning process
• BSc or B.Tech Mining Engineering
• Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience post-graduation
• Mine Manager’s Certificate
• Project Management experience on large projects
• Project study experience – scoping, feasibility and implementation.
• Have good report writing and presentation skills
• Be a good communicator
