CA Global: Mine Engineering and Construction (International Positions) has a client that is in need of a President of Pipelines (Slurry Pipeline Project). The position will be based in Zimbabwe.
Overview
The President will be accountable for the engineering, procurement; construction and/or maintenance of a 600km slurry pipeline project as well the overall performance and sustainable long term growth of the mine.
Responsibilities
• Provide input and technical/operational requirements into project engineering plans to ensure that the operational scope is met on both sides of the borders.
• Provide technical /operational oversight on rail construction and freight matters
• Establish and execute the transportation plans based on programming, control and execution of ore loading and transportation activities.
• Ensure operational readiness by establishing operational plans and procedures and acting as the operational head at all times.
• Establish and execute appropriate maintenance of the pipeline infrastructure, such as permanent ways access ways, drainage, slopes, transmission lines, control rooms and others, so as to maximize utilization rate and life cycle.
• Ensure the maximization of physical availability and life cycle of pipelines and other machines, equipment, planning, performing corrective maintenance.
• Occupational health maintenance of the teams working under the director.
• Compliance with environmental and regulatory guidelines during operation.
Requirements
• A minimum of ten (10) years Project Management experience in pipeline projects.
• A record of successful performance as a Project Manager on lump sum EPC pipeline mining projects.
• Proven Greenfield start-up experience or upgrade project experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or another technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Experience on slurry pipeline projects a bonus.
