Our client is currently seeking an Exploration Director for their project in West Africa
Responsibilities:
- To develop and operationalize long-term strategies to grow the reserves
- Manage the human, financial, and operational resources of the site’s exploration activities
- Maintain appropriate balance between brownfields and greenfields exploration activity and expenditure
- Administrate land permits
- To Develop and execute short and intermediate-term strategies that support the growth of the Exploration department
- Oversee the implementation of processes, policies, systems, and practices within exploration that maximize operational efficiencies and competitive advantage
- Execute field operations on exploration projects; coordinates front-end tasks, contractors, and budgets
- To lead and manage a senior technical team responsible for executing exploration strategy
Requirements:
- A BA or BSc in Geology
- Must have experience in leading teams within the mining industry
- Considerable management experience is required
- A comprehensive understanding of field projects
- More than 12 years of related work experience
