CA Global: Engineering & Industrial Infrastructure (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Regional Industrial Manager (Metals & Soft Commodities). The position is based in Johannesburg, South Africa
Overview:
The Regional Industrial Manager is responsible to roll out the Group Industrial master plan for the region. The position will be based in Dubai or in Johannesburg but will require frequent trips within the regions.
Job Requirements
- Relevant Engineering Degree from an accredited university
- Master’s degree is preferred
- Strong written, verbal and cross-functional communication skills
- Excellent managerial skills
- Previous experience in a metals / soft commodities environment is essential
- ability to effectively liaise with other departments and across a multi-cultural spectrum
- An energetic and highly motivated self-starter
- Good Knowledge and experience relating to MS office, Excel, Power Point etc
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensures that Investment for projects (capex) and operational costs on-going operations (Opex) budgets are being enforced.
- The Regional Industrial Manager implements the necessary controls, using the appropriate corporate tools and processes.
- Creates and develops a mindset of continuous performance improvement within his/her team, by mean of setting up and delivering ambitious goals by mean of annual Improvement Action Plans.
- responsible for the performance of the region’s industrial fixed assets, the implementation of new assets ( Greenfield projects) or the expansion of existing ones ( brown field projects) and provides support to the regions during the acquisition process of additional assets (due diligence).
- MEA region is expected to develop their industrial assets base; the Industrial manager will aim at consolidating the performance of existing assets and support the regions development of new ones.
- Support the regional business managers in the assessment of development opportunities, including acquisitions, by mean of active contribution to due diligences.
- Develop and implement the Improvement Action Plans
- Propose and implement all relevant development actions, training, hiring, and mobility for the team.
