Responsibilities
Responsible for working together with all business units in establishing effective risk management mechanisms and action plans in the respective units
Monitoring progress on risk-related issues, and collating the required information, in order to minimize risk and losses to the bank
Requirements
- Degree in Risk Management or any related field
- Professional qualifications e.g. ACCA, CIMA will be an added advantage
- Five (5) years’ experience in a risk management environment, 2 years of which should have been in a management position
- Practical knowledge of market risk measurement methodologies (e.g. scenario analysis, stress testing, back testing, VAR, risk adjusted performance).
- Experience in market risk, liquidity and balance sheet management, including strategies and processes (e.g. capital allocation and limit setting)
- Strong Analytical, Quantitative, Qualitative skills and Knowledge of Pricing Models
- Practical knowledge of requirements for market risk aggregation and consolidation at bank and business unit levels
- Practical knowledge in assessing critical market risk issues arising from local activities, including new products
- Managing daily and other periodic market risk monitoring and reporting requirements
- Proficiency in computers (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
- Excellent communication skills
