CA Global: Power and Energy (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Commercial Manager (Renewable Energy / Wind Power / Solar Power) the position is based in South Africa.

OVERVIEW
Based in the head office, the successful candidate will be Responsible for all commercial activities at site relating to the Project Construction.

REQUIREMENTS

B. Com Accounting degree or an equivalent CA (SA) undergraduate qualification From a SAICA accredited university OR relevant Engineering Degree
Minimum 4 – 5 years professional experience in the role of Commercial manager for Projects in the Power sector
Minimum 10 - 15 years post graduate experience on a variety of Construction Projects working with Contractor
Experienced within the Renewable Energies Sector is an advantage
Must be Computer literate
Excellent follow up and coordination skills
Excellent communication skills
Must be hard working with a delivery focused mindset
Excellent sense of ownership and accountability in everyday tasks

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIITED TO:

Prepare MIS and enter actual expenses against budgeted.
Ensures that reporting requirements like P&L, Balance sheets are prepared at project unit level in line with HO requirements
Raises construction invoice
Prepares Payment Receipt Advice (PRA) on the receipt of payment
Monitors and tracks Account Receivables as well as Account Payables on regular basis
Manages all kind of documentations for commercial activities
Supervise preparation of reporting requirements like Balance sheets, P&L etc as per rules and regulation of the country.
Ensure that tax is paid in time and tax exemption provisions are utilized properly
Responsible for the audit of all site accounts
Keeps attendance/leave records etc for the project and send them for processing of salaries of the site employees
Ensures that custom/excise requirements are met according to local legislation
Handles logistics both inwards and outwards
Handles bank and cash accounts to meet day to day expenses
