Responsibilities:
- Conduct emission control engineering studies for existing and newly constructed industrial combustion processes and thermal treatment of waste technologies
- Conduct preliminary design of air pollution control systems for cost analysis and bidding
- Conduct regulatory compliance studies
- Utilize mass and energy balances to estimate gas flows and pollutant emissions from combustion and chemical processes
- Coordinate and monitor final design and installation of air pollution control systems
- Provide project management and engineering support for air quality projects
- Provide engineering support for emission inventories, air permit application projects, air dispersion modeling programs and air quality monitoring design and implementation
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of project management and engineering support for air quality studies in conjunction with industrial and energy generating processes
- Experience developing and implementing project plans and work assignments, preparing proposals, and working within project teams, budgets, schedules and subcontracts
- Experience with Best Available Control Technology (BACT), Lowest Achievable Emission Rate (LAER) and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) requirements under the Clean Air Act (CAA)
- Knowledge of air emission and air quality regulations of USEPA
- Knowledge of chemical and thermal processes such as chemical fertilizer production, refineries, soil remediation, gasification, and energy generation
- Knowledge of energy processes and cycles and ability to develop emission factors and gas flows for air quality impact analysis
- Excellent self-leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and cultural sensitivity with the ability to effectively and tactfully interact with individuals
- Demonstrated ability with client relationship management and consultation
- Willingness to work internationally in Morocco for a minimum of one year
