The client is an established Oil and Gas company operating in exploration and production.
Job Function:
Responsible and accountable for business development and management to mines by creating and implementing a market leading level of efficiency in Fuel and Lubricant Supply and Value Added Services.
Responsabilities:
- Structure and manage the Group mining strategy for West Africa.
- Develop key Regional contacts in order to expand our supply opportunities for Fuel and Lubricants. Assist in building network of contact in West Africa. Implement an efficient lobbying at Mining group’s management level.
- Become the Key Contact for all mining accounts within the Region.
- Develop and manage the service offering to mines for the region. Provide leadership to develop and implement approved marketing initiatives and customer value propositions.
- Responsible and accountable for managing the mining accounts from tender process to deployment and site management.
- Ensure mining accounts are operated within the agreed Contractual terms, with both the company and the client meeting their obligations.
- Prepare yearly budget requirements in accordance with company requirements and deadlines.
- Supervise the business and marketing plans or other strategic mining projects to ensure achievement of business and marketing strategies including fuel and lubricant volume, gross margin, expenses.
- Meet client Fuel and Lubricant delivery requirements by working closely with the Regional Supply Chain and operations team.
- Report on relevant contract performance at various levels throughout the customer structure and internally.
- Responsible for developing and achieving market leading service levels for product quality, equipment efficiency, preventative maintenance programs and HSEQ standards.
- Ensure the team acts within strict Health & Safety guidelines leading by example and be responsible for proactive HSE issues that may impact themselves, the office or customer environments.
- Train local teams to ensure proper professionalism and organize training when appropriate to gain necessary skills
Key Challenges:

Know how and experience required:
- Fluent in French and English – Non negotiable
- Engineer Degree
- Approx. 5 years sales experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated ability on know-how transfer
- Strong business sense with good interpersonal and communications skills
- Autonomous
- Self motivated
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Hands on
- Strong personnality
