Mining Engineer – Iron Ore – Northern Cape
South African based mining operation is urgently seeking a Mining Engineer to be based in their Northern Cape.
Requirements:
· Registered Professional Engineer (ECSA),
· Computer literacy in MS Office suite, Achiever, IsoMetrix and discipline specific programmes.
· Knowledgeable on EE Act, BCOEA, National Water Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, Companies Act and OHSA.
· Relevant qualifications, MBA will be an advantage
- 12 years experience in mining production engineering
· Coaching skills, problem solver and bench-marking research
Responsibilities:
· Any ad hoc or other reasonable duties when requested from time to time
· Ensuring that all purchased equipment is the equipment required by the Mine
· Monitor contractor’s performance according with SLA’s
· Ensure that the Mine is expanded and upgraded in accordance to the 3-year business plan
· Evaluating the potential of SoR/Mentor SoR/overseeing the quality of SoR leadership
· In-put on annual budget for the sub-function
· Recognising CAPEX requirements, including on operational and labour
· Evaluating and providing feedback reports
· Authorise and lead the development and implementation of the group
· Efficient management that impacts on the mine production goals will also be playing a pivotal role on the day-to-day operations of the business
