Are you a qualified Maintenance Planner with extensive experience on Fixed Plant in the mining industry?
Top company with operations in West Africa is seeking an experienced individual to join their team.
Your main function will be the short to long term planning and scheduling of all mechanical and electrical maintenance of fixed plant equipment and various other assets.
Key responsibilities:
Produce timely weekly, shutdown and long term maintenance plans and reports.
Conduct weekly planning meetings with maintenance and operations, and update the CMMS accordingly.
Assist in coordination during shutdowns to ensure that over0runs are kept to a minimum.
Ensure all maintenance planning adheres to HSE standards.
Train and mentor subordinates.
Regularly review spares holding policy for maintenance spares and consumables, and adjust the purchasing inventory control settings as required to reduce reliance on airfreight.
Attend regular meetings with operations and maintenance staff to review equipment performance.
Assist in the development of the departmental budget.
Work with the Maintenance Superintendent to develop tracking and reporting systems for agreed KPI’s.
Provide appropriate information, support and resources to enable successful task completion by others.
Provide weekly work packs for the maintenance groups.
Requirements:
Trade qualification and Tertiary or Post Trade Qualification in Engineering / Maintenance Planning or Maintenance Management.
Well-versed on the Pronto CMMS system.
12 years minimum experience in large scale mineral processing or mining environment, of which 6 must be in a Senior Maintenance Planning role.
Good knowledge and health, safety and environmental standards surrounding your area of operation.
Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment in Africa.
Current First Aid qualification essential.
Driver’s license essential.
Method planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
Able to lead, motivate and mentor others.
