Social Impact Manager- West Africa

Our client is currently seeking a Social Impact Manager for their project in West Africa
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of exploration and mine community development programmes and social impact mitigation measures
- Implement company social and community policies
- Liaise with the Health and Safety Manager and the Environmental Manager on community health issues, and with Human Resources on issues related to recruitment and training
- Manage community communication channels and ensure that company communication strategies and grievance mechanisms are implemented
- Participate in mine planning to ensure that social and community aspects are adequately addressed
- Provide input into risk management and participate in company-wide risk assessments
- Participate in closure planning
- Align community development plans with national, regional and local government development plans
- Be responsible for community liaison on site level developments with relevance to the community, and maintain regular contact with communities and I&APs
Requirements:
- Five years in community development fields, preferably in Central or West Africa
- A relevant humanities or developmental degree
- Must speak French
- Experience in conflict resolution
