CA Global: Mining Engineering has a client who is looking for a Study Manager, reporting to the program manager, with extensive construction industry experience. The position will be based in Perth, Australia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate and take responsibility for the development and delivery of the project deliverables (mine/port/rail/NPI) into Selection and Definition Phase Studies.
- Lead a study team- identify and optimize opportunities to deliver various components of expansion program.
- Delivery of project components (mine/ port/ rail/ NPI) of the SPS, VIP and DPS in accordance with the HSEC, financial, schedule and quality requirements of the project.
- Delivery of design systems against pre-assembly strategies.
- Provide leadership within ADP and the EPCMs in the areas of what, when, why and how the project objectives will be delivered, particularly in the areas of HSEC, quality control, project controls, communications and stakeholder relationships.
- Recognise and support the strategy of a “Program of works” approach to the WAIO major projects moving forward and the adoption of a PMC to assist with the execution of the said strategy.

Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline

Preferable – Post graduate qualifications in business / financial discipline

- Strong communication and inter-personnel skills
- Sound understanding of the business and processes
Experience:
- Mining industry (10 years iron ore or similar)
- Major project office and site experience ( Studies and Execution)
- Must have experience in both an owners team and contracting organisations
- Developing, leading and participating in team orientated project delivery
