CA Global: Mining Engineering has a client who is looking for a Senior Project Controls Engineer, reporting to the Project Controls Lead, with extensive construction industry experience. The purpose of the role is to implement effective Project Controls relating to administration of EPCM Services contracts and Owners Team Project Controls functional oversight. The position will be based in Perth, Australia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
• Day-to-day management of ADP project Controls Owners Team Officer.
• Overview and control of EPCM services providers cost control and planning systems to allow tracking of budgets, costs, forecasts, trends and project KPI’s.
• Assist with Capital Approval/ Authority process.
• Be the technical interface for Project Controls system with the EPCM services provider.
• Data input, review and analysis of cost controls and planning information to facilitate tracking of budgets, costs, forecasts, trends and project KPI’s.
• Preparation of consolidated project reporting.
• Prepare all information required on a timely and accurate basis.
• Be able to explain all data presented.
• Be proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline existing work processes.

Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Accounting or related discipline essential

Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years project experience with successful track record in cost control
- Must have experience in both an owner's team and contractor organisations
- Estimating and/ or scheduling experience is an advantage
