OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
CA Global Africa recruitment is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate for the role of Account Manager for one of its large global IT clients. The role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
To maximize revenues through effective and efficient strategic account planning and management thus ensuring sustainable development and growth of the Telco account base.
KEY POSITION DELIVERABLES
Business Development
Develop the end user telecoms business
Incorporate Marketing principles in the business sales
Developing the business strategy and have end to end ownership and accountability for the complete ownership of the Sales Process
Putting in place processes and procedures to ensure that major Channel Partner accounts are handled in the most effective way
Building and delivering a ‘meaningful’ business model that is both transparent and robust.
Developing the business strategy and have end to end ownership and accountability for the complete ownership of the Sales Process
Forecasting/Targeting
Achieving all sales targets including value, volume, profitability, new partner recruitment, option sales and development of new Channels
Focuses on forecasting and pipeline-management
Understand Market indicators when forecasting and setting targets
Understand the competition and their strategy within Telco market
Relationship Management
Managing relationships with major local and international Channels
Interaction with different levels and skills at customer level
Analyzes complex/new situations, anticipates potential problems and future trends, and assesses opportunities impacts and risks.
Reporting Management
Defines and Reviews Key Performance Indicators to ensure the achievement of Channel Business growth targets
Drive and manage internal stake holder management and buy-in
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Marketing or Sales qualification with a minimum of 5 years industry field sales experience.
Proven track record of growing revenues, profitability, and market share in a high volume technology related company
In-depth understanding of Telco Sales
Experience in the IT or PC industry within the Telco environment is essential
In-depth understanding of IT systems and IT industry players
Having an excellent background in customer services, excellent negotiation skills as well as time management skills,
Ability to build sound relationships, professionalism, ethics and a competitive streak, this individual is expected to work varied hours with a diverse background of colleagues and customers
Experience of introducing operational vigour, from a process and control perspective, to a multi-functional, multi-disciplined sales team
The ability to formulate, negotiate and close large and complex deals
Analytical thinking, numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail are essential
Computer literacy in MS Office suite, with SAP being an added advantage.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with effective presentation skills to both small and large audiences.
Business and Results oriented
Multinational reporting and willingness to travel locally and internationally
