Senior Geologist- East Africa

Our client is currently seeking a senior geologist for their project in East Africa. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in all stages of mine development.
Responsibilities:
- To lead and supervise the company’s geological team as well as external contractors
- Execution and review of drilling campaigns in order to obtain the best possible results
- Analysis and interpretation of geological mapping, modeling and sampling
- Supervision and prioritization of drilling projects to maximize identification of mineral resources
- Interpretation of surface and airborne geophysical surveys to establish best possible drill targets
- Supervision and training of geology personnel for sampling, logging, mapping, data entry, and interpretation of geological and mineralized zones
- Quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) throughout the exploration process including data validation
- Ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to
- Adherence and compliance with all Government and permit requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree or greater in Geology or Geological Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Minor Metal exploration (Tantalum Niobium and associated metals) including geological, geochemical, and geophysical assessments and specifically drilling
- Member of a professional organization or eligibility for registration to such an organization recognized by National Instrument 43-101 (Canada)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills in a multicultural framework
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access, and MapInfo
- Ability to manage large-scale drilling campaigns
