For a major project, commissioning specialists (technicians, engineers, supervisors) with expertise in process, instrumentation, electrical or mechanical fields are needed in 2012.
Nature and Scope of Position
These experienced personnel must have significant operating/maintenance/technical knowledge and background to be able to quickly integrate into existing teams, perform the work and provide practical support to those teams throughout the facilities. As CRU proceeds, the incumbent would be assisting in coaching and training less-experienced personnel to progressively assume their work or providing high level of technical expertise on specific process and equipment. Hence, the position requires strong leadership and communications skills.
Specific Accountabilities

4. Rapidly able to perform the work assigned, using previous knowledge/experience and following SOPs and/or SJs,
5. Within the change management procedure, contribute to the improvement of the SOPs and/or SJs,
6. Coach and train less-experienced individuals working in the team,
7. Be flexible and able to adapt to changing and often difficult circumstances including changing assignments of responsibilities, shift schedules, and work teams.
Dimensions
• Technician Diploma minimum required + 10/15 years of experience in the same area of expertise
• Knowledge of French language is an asset.

High stress situations resulting from participation in an extended period of Commissioning and Ramp-up of a very large facility.
