CA Global: Engineering and Construction (International Positions) has a client that is in need of a Pipe laying Foreman. The position will be based in Equatorial Guinea.
Overview
Supervises the lay out, assembly and installation of various size and type of underground drain pipe including: Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), Reinforced Concrete Box (RCB), Structural Steel Plated (SSP) and Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) on company projects
Responsibilities
• Experienced Supervisor for infrastructure underground Pipe Laying & Civil Works.
• Studies project specifications with project engineer to plan sequencing and schedule for pipe installation.
• Coordinates and supervises daily activities of pipe laying crews.
• Utilizes heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill drainage pipe.
• Continually inspects work site surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
• Responsible for crew safety, enforces company & country policy and laws.
• Sequences pipe installation to reduce inference with other project activities and traveling public.
• Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Expeditiously reports machine malfunctions and defects to project engineer.
• Reviews and approves employee time cards
Job Requirements
• Technical Diploma (is plus) or Equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience will be considered.
• Self-motivated with high energy level.
• High level of English/Spanish communicating and listening skills.
• Must be able to supervise pipe fitters crews and oversee projects efficiently
• Problem solving and decision making skills
• Effective verbal and listening communications skills
• Ability to read and write English/Spanish to keep daily progress records
• Time management skills
• Must work independently and is expected to maintain a schedule of work.
