CA Global: Engineering and Construction (International Positions) has a client that is in need of a Regional Tendering Manager. The position will be based in the United Arab Emirates
Overview
Liaises with the Regional Manager and with the Sales Manager in works related to tender estimation of civil, marine and multidiscipline works contracts
Responsibilities
• Leads a group of engineers dealing with technical, commercial and contractual aspects of the tender
• Reviews tender documents, obtains a clear understanding of the tender requirements and formulates the same in instructions to the involved discipline staff
• Prepares estimates of required resources, direct and indirect costs and works out construction methodologies and subcontracting needs
• Reviews and validates cost estimates related to tenders prepared by others
• Participates in negotiations with clients and JV partners as required
• Ensures optimum tender price as well as effective post award hand over
Job Requirements:
• University degree in Civil Engineering
• Ten (10) years’ experience in construction (heavy civil, marine, industrial) of which at least three (3) in a similar position
• Good knowledge of project execution methodology
• High sense of cost awareness
• Fluency in English
• Computer literate particularly in programs relevant to estimation
• Ability to travel extensively and work outside regular work schedule
