CA Global: Building and Construction (Africa Positions) has a client looking for a Mechanical Technician with good experience dealing with heavy duty equipment to become the Vice-head of the maintenance warehouse. This position will be based in Djibouti.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect machinery to ensure it is in good running order
- Make necessary repairs to equipment and machinery as required
- Troubleshoot the machine to determine what repairs are necessary
- Procure the required parts to make repairs
- If required make emergency repairs when a machine breaks down during operation
- Conduct the inventory and order the most commonly used mechanical components
Requirements:
- Technical certification
- 5 - 10 years relevant experience in a similar role
- A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory position
- Must be fluent in either English or French
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong problem solving skills
