CA Global: Engineering and Construction (International Positions) has a client that is in need of a Regional Electrical and Mechanical (E & M) Manager. The position will be based in the United Arab Emirates
Overview
The job holder possesses excellent managerial skills with a strong technical background; coordinates all E & M activities in the region, reporting to the Regional Manager. Primary task of the job holder is monitoring of and assisting the execution of E & M works in the region by close cooperation with the respective Project Managers. Moreover, he or she assists the regional E&M Design, Tendering and Procurement Departments. The job holder is also actively involved in the identification and pursuit of business opportunities in the E&M field in the respective region
Responsibilities
• Advise and consult the Regional Manager on important E&M matters.
• Build and maintain client satisfaction for E&M scope of projects for the respective region.
• Provide support and technical assistance to the regional Design Department concerning design of E & M scope of projects or tenders.
• Provide support and technical assistance to the regional Tendering Department concerning E & M scope of tenders.
• Provide support and technical assistance to the regional Procurement Department concerning E & M scope of procurement for projects or tenders.
• Assist the regional Business Development Department in pursuing business opportunities in the E & M field.
Job Requirements:
• University level education (or equivalent) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Considerable experience (15+ years) in the implementation of large scale industrial projects from the position of Project and/or Construction Manager.
• Fluency in written and spoken English Language is essential.
• Working knowledge of Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control and Budgeting.
