Manager: Financial Analyst (Namibia)

Role Description:
Project accounting and cost control;
Assist in internal and client audits;
Financial analysis and planning;
Assist in the timely preparation and provision of management reports, analyses and
commentary;
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and weekly reviews;
Super user of SAP Business Planning Tool used in the submission of annual business plans and
quarterly forecasts;
Compilation of Accounts Receivable;
Document and report on variances and anomalies;
Any other ad-hoc tasks: admin/occupancy allocation management;
Prepare and maintain occupancy and admin/IT gross cost estimates;
Review headcount;
Determine allocated cost true up required before quarter close;
Analyse allocated cost and con¬rm accuracy;
Cash management;
Maintenance of monthly cash forecast;
Weekly cash balance reporting to treasury;
Support senior management in investment decision making by providing ¬financial analysis,
management information and ad hoc analysis as required;
Develop ¬financial models for and assist in carrying out investment appraisals on potential
investments;
Participate in the investment due diligence and closing process;
Analyse financial performance of portfolio companies;
Support third-party service providers
Skills Required:
Able to extract data and write complex queries with T-SQL on relational databases;
Advanced use of MS Excel;
Knowledge of MS Reporting Services is an advantage;
Ability to prioritise and manage time;
Planning and team player;
Strong analytical and report writing skills;
Able to operate independently and in a team;
Excellent inter-personal relations;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience;
Hands-on, self starter and problem solver;
High standard of quality of work and a professional approach;
Experience in liaising with all levels of employees, including financial and non-financial;
Strong business acumen;
Proven financial analytical skills;
The ability to work with minimum supervision and the exibility to travel
regularly is essential
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 certi¬cate plus recognised B. Degree or its equivalent from an accredited college
level institution in Financial Analysis;
CFA Degree will be an added advantage;
At least 5 years experience in Financial Analysis;
Have a minimum of one year's relevant work experience such as building financial models and
conducting ¬nancial analyses for investment purposes
