CA Global: IT and Telecommunications (Africa) has a position available for an Standard Hosting Agent.
The position will be based in Morocco.
Reports to: Hosting Team Lead
Overall Purpose of the Position: : The main responsibility of the role is to provide superior customer services and desktop support to all hosted customers, including the client’s domain resellers.
Minimum Requirements
Domain Queries (registrations, transfers, updates, deletion – Coza/Enom)
Familiar with a Control Panel/ Admin interface to manage Domains.
Capable of doing various diagnostics checks - Pings, Tracerts, , Reverse lookups, Telnet
Solid communication skills – Communicate via telephone and via email.
1 Year working experience in a technical call centre.
Able to read and edit HTML, PHP and ASP.
Able to setup and add SSL certificates
Ability to do Database restores (MsSql and MySql), migration and various troubleshooting of related connection strings.
Understand and install most ASP/PHP based cms’s.
The ability to read, configure and update various config files (PHP/ASP)
Ideal requirements:
A+ and N+ Certificate or similar qualification
Understanding and familiar with Helm/Plesk (user or admin level access)
Previous experience within an ISP or webhosting provider
Programming language (php, asp, java etc).
Negotiation skills.
Key Performance Areas
Understanding domains and how they work – Use of intranet to achieve these goals
Ticket/Email volume – Achieve set out ticket/email targets as defined by manager and Team Leaders in a timely manner
Communication skills – effective dissemination of technical information to customers as pulled from the various Knowledge Base articles.
Solid softskills - Following guidelines and polices (department specific) and previous work experience to resolve queries within the parameters of the department policy.
Ability to register, transfer, update domains and DNS’s - Using the online KB articles, WHOIS, tracerts, ping and telnet.
