CA Global: IT and Telecommunications (Africa) has a position available for an Oracle Middleware Support.
The position will be based in the DRC.
Reports to: Development Manager
Overall Purpose of the Position: Programming, developing and architecting various facilities and features to enhance our service offerings.
Qualifications and Experience
BSc. Computer Science or equivalent qualification
Oracle Database Administration
Oracle Application Server and Oracle Portal experience
Experience in ITIL and Support environments
An expert understanding of multi-tiered Web Applications based on Java
Hands on experience with Oracle Middleware technologies TERM:
Desired Skills
Good knowledge and working experience of one or more areas of Oracle Application Server (OID, SSO, OC4J, Oracle Portal)
Knowledge of Oracle Weblogic Application Server
Skilled in business analysis techniques
Oracle DBA, SQL, PL/SQL
Unix SysAdmin, shell scripting
Oracle BI Tools
Oracle Middleware Technologies
Basic knowledge of Oracle Portal
Good knowledge and working experience with the Oracle Database Administration
Excellent SQL experience
Good Unix administration knowledge
Good Unix scripting experience
Key Performance Areas
Leading a team of support consultants that advise and guide the customer on support processes and systems
Overseeing the implementation and rollout of IT systems and applications
Monitor Oracle for patches and upgrades appropriate to the module
Production of documentation in support of all the outlined tasks
Participate in testing activities for changes, patches and upgrades
Liaise with Helpdesk, suppliers and other consultants
Maintain system documentation
Support end-user activities at key times – 2nd and 3rd Level Support
