CA Global: International Positions (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Production and Technical Manager (Natural Gas plant. The position will be based in Sierra Leone.
Overview:
The P&T Manager will be primarily responsible for the day to day operation of the entire Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Plant and cylinder filling operation.
Responsibilities
• The P&T Manager will be responsible for the implementation of a preventative Maintenance Program, ensuring that spare parts are always available to ensure continuous production.
• The P&T Manager will be responsible for managing a team of employees under his direct supervision; including the Filling Plant staff.
• The P&T Manager will be responsible for ordering LPG deliveries to ensure that the facility always has LPG available, this will require control/monitoring of cylinder sales to enable forward ordering of the LPG delivery.
• The site will be controlled by a Written Scheme of Examination and the P&T Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the WSE.
• There will be a continuous requirement for staff/operative training and it will be the responsibility of the P&T Manager to implement this and for ensuring training records are kept for inspection.
Qualifications/Experience
• The Candidate must have as a minimum a HND Qualification in Engineering
• The Candidate must have experience working within the Liquefied Petroleum Gas environment.
• The Candidate must be able to Manage a work force including, Office Staff, Sales and Manual workers
• The Candidate must have experience of operating a Safe Permit to Work system and a full understanding of Written Schemes of Examination
