CA Global: Power and Energy (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Sales Engineer (Diesel Engines / marine engines). The position is based in Kenya.
OVERVIEW
Primarily responsible for the establishment and securing of a constructive customer and supplier relationship
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Mechanical, power or marine engineering degree
- Minimum 5 years sales experience
- Excellent marketing skills
- Good sales training background
- Proficient in MS office
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Additional language skills such as French or German
- Good knowledge of diesel and gas engines and related system for power application
- Accounting package skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of SAP
- Excellent managerial skills
- High operational readiness and assertiveness
- Independent and target orientated way of working
- Willingness to travel regularly
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Management of after sales
- Promotion and sales of engine power plant products to both current and potential clients in the African market
- Management of medium speed sales merchant marine and power plant sales
- Establishment and securing of constructive and cooperative customer and supplier relations
- Planning of order intake for specific market segment
- Analysis of tender documentation
- Cooperation with order management
- Calculation of quotes with in-house software tools
- Conduct market survey, report and update the management about regional market development
- Management of small international team
