Procurement and Logistics Manager- West Africa

Our client is currently seeking a Procurement and Logistics Manager for their operations in West Africa
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain sound working relationship with internal customers and external suppliers
- Ensure that all contracts for the supply of goods and services have appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
- Evaluate suppliers and service providers and make appropriate improvement recommendations to the business
- Control and coordinate the order cycle and associated storage and movement of goods between suppliers and end-users on site
- Coordinate with all required freight carriers including negotiating price and conditions
- Manage the team of Logistics personnel charged with the task of order preparation and fulfillment in line with good organizational practice
Requirements:
- University Diploma or equivalent degree qualification
- Advanced level of Computer literacy in particular MS Office suite
- Extensive overall procurement and logistics management experience with prior experience in working in a remote location
- Must be fluent in English and French
- Pronto ERP experience will be advantageous
- Knowledge of the competitive bidding process, including the development of bid documents
- Recent experience in procuring critical mining and processing equipment
- A proven supply base and prior relationships with OEM’s in Africa and worldwide
