CA Global: Mining - Engineering and Construction has a client who is looking for a Senior Cost Controller with experience in Greenfield Mining.
Duties and Responsibilities:
EPCM Consultant
• Assurance of implementation of BIM Cost Control requirements in all Cost Control EPCM deliverables
• Revision of Control Budget for completeness and accuracy
• Revision of Engineering Hours Control for assurance of the resources efficiency.
• Revision of Construction Cost Control Report for completion and proactive effectiveness.
• Raise awareness of issues related to the project cost
• Support Contract Administration in relation to claims, payments or any financial issue
• Overseeing Project contingency management
• Reconciliation and integration of BIM’s Financial Report and EPCM Progress reports
• Assurance that change management is properly executed and reported
BIM
• Updating and issuing BIM Cost Control Reports
• Reconciliation of BIM actual cost with reported incurred cost
• Development of BIM yearly cash flow
• Development of Cost Control sections of BIM Corporate Reporting
• Interface with BIM Procurement to assure that awarded contracts are within Project Budget
• Assurance of quality of Cost Control Report of any Contractor/Supplier/Consultant directly contracted by BIM
• Assistance and support of BIM departments in Cost Control matters
Education and Experience:
• A university degree in Engineering or technical diploma
• Minimum 15 years experience in Cost Management in an EPCM or EPC environment.
• Experience in construction contract change management and litigation.
• Experience in Mega Projects. Experience in Mining and Metal Processing Projects and also preferably experience in Rail Projects.
• Must be able/willing to spend extended periods at construction site or potential rotation assignment
